Klepto is playing a show Friday Oct 29th at RiRa Arlington and we are faced with a decision. Should we wear costumes??? There are a lot of factors we have to weigh in making such a hefty decision. Does RiRa want or expect us to dress up? They probably wouldn't be disappointed if we did and probably wouldn't say anything if we didn't. This is kind of a wash and certainly not specified in our contract for the show   Being that is the first night of Halloween weekend will other party people be dressed up? This is a tough one. I would guess that we'll see costumed people the entire weekend but of course Saturday night is going to be the big night for costumes. We don't have a Saturday night show so Friday is the only chance we'll get to dress up. Being that we are the "entertainment" for the night we probably wouldn't be ridiculed for dressing up but it sure would be a whole lot more fun to be laughing along WITH people instead of being laughed AT.   What should we wear? We need a theme that works for a five piece band and it's kind of cheesy to dress up like some other band. Who was that fifth member of KISS anyway? We could be the Scooby Doo gang but who's going to dress up like the girls? Who gets to be Scooby? Heck! who gets to be Fred and wear an ascot? There are tons of ideas but what we need five people to agree on a theme.   Now can we play our instruments? So once we have some good ideas that we all agree on, we have to narrow it down to the ones that allow us to still play our instruments and sign. That pretty much rules out the classic horror film monsters like Freddy Krueger, Jason Voorhees and Micheal Myers. Oh yeah don't forget it gets really hot under the lights so we don't want to wear anything that would cause us to pass out either. Do you think anyone would get it if we go as the basketball team from "<a target="_new" href="http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0077101/">The White Shadow"?   Can we top last year's costumes? A picture is worth a thousand words! The facial hair is fake but rest assured, the chest hair is real!

Thanks so much to all of our NoVa friends who made it out and it was great to meet so many new people. We've been working on a bunch of new (and not so new) songs and can't wait to share them with everybody. The "Weezer Poll" has been up longer than anticipated and based on the back and forth response, we've decided to learn both songs. We actually played Sweater Song this past weekend and we are putting the finishing touches on If You're Wondering... I guess that means we need a new poll question. We hope to see everybody real soon. We've got a lot of exciting things in the works so I figured some people may be interested in knowing what's going on with Klepto. Besides adding a blog we're going to be adding live audio and video to the site in the next few weeks. We record most of the shows now so we have a lot of good stuff that just needs to be edited and posted. Ideally we'll be able to put up something from each new show and keep it fresh. That's probably too ambitious but it's good to have goals. We also added a poll feature to the home page. The plan is to have a new question each week and get feedback from you guys. The results will be posted here in the blog for anyone who cares to keep tabs.  So if you've made it this far please make sure you vote on the poll if you haven't already. Finally we'll be working to create a bio page for each member of the band. We have a friendly debate going on about whether the bios should be serious and factual or lighthearted and goofy. Would you rather know about our musical influences or would you rather know what our secret P.I.M.P names are? Hmmm I may have just stumbled on to next week's poll question.
